God has put it on my heart to do random acts of kindness. Something you/I just do with out permission of the person that is about to receive the kindness act. When I see a need I will do something to help, regardless of distance. God has blessed us so much during our time of struggle with whatever that I/we can not keep all these blessings to ourselves so we are going to share.
Today was my first random act of kindness, and it was rather successful. A friend of mine had told me that she is going to have to get a part time job to help with her hubby's full time job pay to make ends meat. I knew then I had to help, but wasn't sure as to what or how . . . plus my mind was a bit preoccupied with the job I was doing at the time. This morning I was talking to this friend again and she told me that she was sad because she wasn't able to attend her nieces 1 yr bday party this weekend due to these money issues. Being an aunt myself I know how hard this day is going to be on her I knew again I had to do something. I knew she was a big Starbucks fan so, thats it. I'm going to get her the BIG cup of coffee from her most fav place ever. In the same conversation she also told me that she had some left over biscuits from breakfast, so now I thought . . . coffee and some jam for the bread. So I went down stairs to get the jam and I saw the jars of apple & pear sauce and the bread and butter & dill pickles so I grabbed them too.
I got to Starbucks and I thought I have to let her know about at least this since I want to make sure I get something she is going to like, I mean really like. So I quickly called her up and asked and she so gladly told me. We got the coffee and went on our way to her place to make the delivery. I also had to get something for the hubby and since I knew that he at least at one point in the morn he wasn't home we just got him a gift card for when he is ready to get his own cup of yumminess. So when we got there Aj gave her her cup and Evey gave the gift card and I gave a box of jars of some yummy goodness. She was so surprised and excited she was jumping up and down and smiling really big. So as you can see this mission was a big success. I didn't know how big till tonight when she told me this was a big help since they were in between paychecks and they didn't know what they were going to do and her pantry was getting rather empty. So again I am glad to see God blessing his children in action . . . what a feeling!! I love helping people and seeing their faces of joyful surprise is absolutely priceless!!
I figured out what our second act of kindness is going to be, but that one I will tell you once everything is said and done and the 'package' has been delivered. So from here I will bid you all good night and God bless.
