Yesterday was our Drs appointment with Eveys GI doctor about the scoping and all that. He reviewed all of his notes and such and decided that it was alright to wait till mid teens to talk about colon removal, unless something happens before then. Praise God to that answered prayer!! I was nervous that he would try and talk Jim and I into doing it now. He also said that she would have to get scoped every yr just to keep tabs on the polyps. From some stuff he had shared with me I am thinking that she will only have to have her colon checked every yr till she is in her 20s or so. Again PRAISE GOD! Thank you for your prayers on these concerns that I have shared with you all!
Also along with the scoping every yr she will have to have blood work done to make sure that her body is getting all the nourishment she needs to grow and develop due to Celiac Diease. Turns out that possibly with being on a gluten free diet she may be missing things and these test will be able to let us know how and where to fill in the blanks. Please pray that Jim and I are doing a good enough job that she will be doing alright with this. I think we are since she is finally growing like a weed, PRAISE GOD!!
School and work for me has started up again and there is lots different. The school will be getting a new play ground stuff come the mid/end of September and along with this, due to some financial supporters the school is to run recess before/after lunch time the way they say. In theory I think this is good but its really had and its really trying my patients. This past Friday I was ready to toss in the towel and tell the school that I will stay on board till a replacement is found. Jim and a co-worker that I shared this with talked me into at least sticking it out for at least one more week. I'm not sure if that is going to change my mind based on somethings that have been said to me weather it be this school yr or last. Please pray for Gods guidance in this. I want to be with the kids, they are wonderful but with this new program its hard with a small budget that will not allow the school to hire the staff it needs to run. I know if I were to leave we will be fine, financially, but it is nice to have the 'mad money' on deck.
